Rebel Wannabes?

Thanks to Ypulse, I read this great article by Rainee Lyson about how young people today don't have their own protest songs, so they get their political inspiration from rockers of the 60's and 70's.

"Rock music of the 1960s, '70s and '80s reflected the social and political rebellion of the time. Fuelled by the Vietnam War and women's and civil rights movements, the teenagers of the '60s were a generation willing to fight for a better world. Generation Y sees no need to rebel. We have been handed over a world reformed. We lead comfortable lives, and not even the threat to our environment can upset our stability"

Read the whole article here and post your thoughts on our blog! What are some of your favorite protest songs?
